The Nebit

We weren’t supposed to be climbing The Nebit today.  Our target was Ben Cleuch via Ben Ever, beginning in Alva Glen.  I learned (much later) that this was not the normal walking route to Ben Cleuch but it didn’t matter in any case because this is where we first came across locked gates and stock proof fencing – both of which too high for me to lift The Fatdog over.  After a bit of backtracking I found a track that took us around the face of The Nebit and a faint trail off it taking us to the summit of that wee bump.  We settled for that minor triumph. It wasn’t much of a day anyway, hazy over the Forth Valley and clouds rolling down over the Ochils towards us.  Still, not a bad little practice run.

Now it's your turn...
